I have been losing hair on the sides of my head and around my hairline and I'm almost positive its from my birth control, Trinessa. (I've been on it for over a year and up until now no problems.) The thing is that I can't stop taking it or switch because I have already bought 6 months worth and I'm going to stay with my boyfriend for a while so I need it. Even if I keep using it will my hair grow back eventually? Also do you shed more hair in the winter?Birth Control Related Hair Loss?
That is real unusual..
if you have had it up for a year with no problems then it might be something else..
You should go see you doctor, (just to make sure)
we dont want it to be something serious and you not checking it out, right?!
:)
good luck!!Birth Control Related Hair Loss?
has any thing else in you life changed? because if it was going to make your hair fall out it probably would have done so before a year's time. do some research on the drug, talk to a pharmacist and ask if it causes hair loss. If so, and you don't want to continue to loose hair, stop taking it. No matter how many months you just paid for. Hair loss is a tricky thing, sometimes it will grow back and sometimes it won't. Hair on average grows at 1/2 inch a month...you do the math. you do not shed more hair in the winter. your hair will go through 3 stages. Growing, resting and shedding. 1-2% is in the telogen (shedding) phase at a time, all year round.
you don't shed more hair in winter. this has nothing to do with the weather. i don't think girls will easily have hair loss problem in their teenage years. they just seem to have a thin hair but it won't make you loose some hair.
