Does Regaine Minoxidil work beyond 48 weeks for hair loss?

The box states: ';hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks.';

Does this mean they've not tested it beyond 48 weeks in trials, or does it mean it stops having an effect after 48 weeks. If it stops having an effect after 48 weeks, is that a permanent tolerance that the body has built up to it or will it work again after a period of non-use? If it's a permanent tolerance then Minoxidil is only delaying the inevitable by a year which makes it seem almost pointless to me.Does Regaine Minoxidil work beyond 48 weeks for hair loss?
Minoxidil is a vasodilator medication known for its ability to slow or stop hair loss and promote hair regrowth, but measurable changes disappear within months after discontinuation of treatment.

The mechanism by which minoxidil promotes hair growth is not fully understood. Minoxidil is a potassium channel agonist. Minoxidil is less effective when there is a large area of hair loss. In addition, its effectiveness has largely been demonstrated in younger men (18 to 41 years of age). Minoxidil use is indicated for central (vertex) balding only.

I don't know if your using this yet, but i would recommend a Natural remedy that's not harmful to you, but yet effective in helping you gain your hair back.
