Are there reasons other than ringworm for hair loss in a cat? There are two spots no bigger than a dime on her?

on her shoulders. She is an inside cat with no other cats in the house. Are there reasons other than ringworm for hair loss in a cat? There are two spots no bigger than a dime on her?
Yes, there are. My cat has OCD and tends to overgroom. Usually this is caused by anxiety, nervousness, or jumpiness. It depends on the cat's age as to how easy it would be to ';cure';. Overgrooming is quite common - I would look it up on the web as an option. I don't think an inside cat with no other cats would easily catch ringworm - that sounds a litte far fetched. Sounds like ringworm or it could possibly be flea allergies. If the spot is in a circle and it's itchy then it's ringworm. Even if your cat is indoors and you haven't seen any fleas, it can take only one flea to cause flea allergies.
even though shes an indoor cat she could still have contracted ringworm, its a fungal infection.

mange is the only other thing i can think of that would cause hairloss in a cat.
