I have lots of friends with bald dads and with them being only 15-16 year old can already see that baldness is striking them. Whether it being a receeding hairline or thinning or even both! 1 m8 is only 15 and already is developing a noticable bald patch at his crown with a really bad M shaped hairline. Another is really thin and a far back hairline. you see these two had straight hairlines about 1-2 years ago so what age does baldness start?What is the average age for hair loss in males?
anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.
year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also used herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165
It restores hair follicles by blocking DHT!!!
good luck!
not only my and my husband`s own personal experienceWhat is the average age for hair loss in males?
Male pattern alopecia can start at any age and to varying degrees. It's all up to genetics, and it comes from your mother's side of the family (your mum's dad is the closest indicator). 15-16 is quite early to start balding but it does usually come on gradually, like you said, starting with thinning of the hair or receding hairline. There can be other reasons for hair loss although these are usually temporary unlike male pattern balding, hair loss can be caused through stress, certain medications, illness, and many other reasons. Just think yourself lucky you aren't bald yet, and of course, you may escape it altogether!
Male pattern baldness begins as early as the late teens or early twenties, by age 35 to 40 two thirds of Caucasian men experience some hair loss.
The average age for men is 37; for women, 34.
Note - Hair loss usually develops gradually and may be patchy or diffuse (all over). Roughly 100 hairs are lost from your head every day. The average scalp contains about 100,000 hairs. Each individual hair survives for an average of 4 1/2 years, during which time it grows about half an inch a month. Usually in its 5th year, the hair falls out and is replaced within 6 months by a new one. Genetic baldness is caused by the body's failure to produce new hairs and not by excessive hair loss. Both men and women tend to lose hair thickness and amount as they age. Inherited or ';pattern baldness'; affects many more men than women. About 25% of men begin to bald by the time they are 30 years old, and about two-thirds are either bald or have a balding pattern by age 60.
Its different for everyone. To find out whats likely to happen to you DONT look at your fathers hairline, you need to look at your mothers father and there you will find your answer. If grandpas bald then chances are you will be 2. I spoke to my grandpa about this a few years ago and he told me he didn't start going bald until his early forties THANK GOD FOR ME!!
Hair loss starts due to stress, negligence and harsh chemicals. My father when he died at the age of 85 had hair. It is basically the hard water that causes problems.
If you hydrate and nourish your hair regularly there should be no problem of hair loss. Check www.ziravie.com which talks of internal and external nourishment.
Balding is genetic. So it is different for a lot of different people. Some start very early, some start late, and some people never go bald if they have not inherited that gene.
There late 30's. My dad has this problem he's 38.
The average age for hair loss in males is 37
Some men never lose their hair! Some lose it really early.. Just hope you will be one of the lucky ones!
It sounds like your high school friends are suffering from a loss of hair do to their hereditary.
Some loose it earlier than others. My friend is bald and has high school boys that are already loosing their hair also. I began loosing mine when I was at the age of 22. My father had a nice head of hair, but my grandfather (on my mothers side of the family) thinned badly on top. I ended up with the same amount of hair loss in the same pattern as my grandfather and my brother didn't. Some have all of the luck..........
As we get older, both men and women experience some hair loss. It鈥檚 a normal part of the aging process. Called Androgenetic Alopecia, it accounts for 95% of all hair loss. Androgentic Alopecia often runs in families and affects some people more than others. In men it is often referred to as Male Pattern Baldness.
It is characterized by a receding hair line and baldness on the top of head. Women, on the other hand, don鈥檛 go entirely bald even if their hair loss is severe. Instead, hair loss is spread out evenly over their entire scalp.
Hormones play the dominant role when talking about Androgenetic Alopecia. Simple put, both men and women produce testosterone. Testosterone can be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) with the aid of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT shrinks hair follicles causing the membranes in the scalp to thicken, become inelastic and restrict blood flow. This causes the hair follicles to atrophy. As a result, when a hair does fall out, it is not replaced.
Needless to say, men produce more testosterone than women and therefore experience more hair loss.
I hope that this information has been informative.
