Does taking birth control pills stop post partum hair loss?

i have really bad post partum hair loss and i am going to start taking birth control this week. will it make my hair loss worse or better or stop it? does anyone have any experience with this?Does taking birth control pills stop post partum hair loss?
Hormone related hair loss -- you should remember -- is temporary. Your hair will eventually come back in.





That being said, you might experience another change in hair thickness due to the start of the hormones again, since you're changing your body's chemistry.





Pregnancy is exceptionally hard on the body. But the good news is that it doesn't do anything that is permanent.Does taking birth control pills stop post partum hair loss?
For me birth control pills didn't do anything either way. I had really bad post partum hair loss as well (so bad I didn't want to leave the house). I don't think there's alot you can do about it. It just stops and grows back after a couple of months.





Actually I was very low in iron at the time so I think taking an iron supplement might help if you think that might be a problem.
