My hair is falling out and I'm very sure it's due to poor diet because I'm only 16 and it started when I became vegetarian, will the hair grow back if I resume a healthy diet or will this just reduce the hair loss? Can hair loss due to vitamin deficiency be reversed?
Male pattern hair loss at your age is rare, but can occur. Proper nutrition, especially at your age and development, is very important. Things that go wrong inside of your body, many times, will show signs outside of your body - for example, poor skin and thin or thinning out of hair. Making a change to a vegetarian diet without knowing how to overcome some of those nutritional deficiencies (like proteins and minerals you obtain from meat) will cause harm to your body. Seeing your physician and a nutritionist would be a great first start to properly diagnose your problem. Can hair loss due to vitamin deficiency be reversed?
Don't be too worried about your diet. I have several vegetarian friends and some vegan and they are healthier than I am. As long as you're still getting all of your vitamins and protein you're ok. The issue is your hair loss. I'm 19 right now and started noticing my hair falling out when i was about 18. I tried several different myths to try and get my hair back for free but sadly they didn't work =( The one thing that did work for me is called provillus, I've been using it for around 7 months now and it's amazing! You can get more information at http://www.hairloss-specialist.com/ I really hope this helps you I know how hard it is to start losing your hair. It must be even harder on you being in high school too. If you need something that actually works and makes it happen quickly make sure you check it out.
Good luck!

Don't be too quick to diagnose your hair loss based only on your diet. This may be a coincidence. There's a great deal of research out there that also identifies hair loss as genetic. Evaluate this characteristic in your family bloodline and see a professional to better understand root causes (no pun intended).
