Husband is experiencing hair loss... hair transplants an option?

My husband is 31 years old and has started losing his hair :( He is very attractive and certainly doesnt look his age, but the hair loss is adding so many years to his look. It has only just started and his hair is thinning at the top and receding at the sides. He has VERY thick hair at the back and the sides (just above the ears). He uses a minoxidil shampoo, but this is slowing down the process rather than growing it back. He has just considered hair transplant. How does this work? How much?? Is it effective??? Tell me anything you know....

Thanks muchly :)Husband is experiencing hair loss... hair transplants an option?
Am I your husband? I have the same hair, and no matter what the commercials say, it does NOT look natural.

I have accepted my hair loss and I keep it very, very short now, and when it gets worse, it will be gone......that's the only control I have over it.

Also, hair transplants are very expensive and they look horrible.Husband is experiencing hair loss... hair transplants an option?
As long as he has a good donor area where the surgeon can take hair follicles and transplant them to balding areas, your husband should be a good candidate for hair transplants. The cost depends on how many follicles he needs transplanted. This website does a decent job of explaining the procedure and its costs and results.
i suggest to watch this video at http://www.mytopclip.com/play.php?vid=42鈥?/a> it is about growing hair naturally and this video at http://www.mytopclip.com/play.php?vid=42鈥?/a> i think it can help you and this video also at http://www.mytopclip.com/play.php?vid=43鈥?/a> it is about the vitamins that can prevent hair loss and you can read this article at http://articles.onlineweblibrary.com/Art鈥?/a> it is about How Does Aging Affect Your Hair i think it can help you
Hair transplants is a no-no.

Try keeping a regular diet which include adequate protein, vitamins and iron.

Keep your hair root healthy as well.

Lastly, you can use medication as an aid to help out in hair restoration as well.

Good luck.
Don't let anyone recommend shaving it all off and seeing if it grows back faster afterwards? Apparently it doesn't help or make it worse... either way. However, guys can do that sort of thing and get away with it, unlike us women!
tell him to try Provillus, a buddy of mine at work is using it and is seeing significant hair growth..I think the key is getting to it early.
